In an ideal continuity with the World Statistics Day promoted by the United Nations in October 2010, every year the National Institute of Statistics and the Italian Statistical Society organise the Italian Statistics Day.
A series of meetings, local initiatives, competitions and contests for young people are organised to promote the development of the statistical function in the country and to underline its importance in building society.
