The project focuses on the following topics:

  • Integrated administrative data system
  • Small Area Statistics (SAS)

Overall objective. To contribute to the improvement Integrated administrative data system and Small Area Statistics (SAS)

Specific objective. Compile an inventory of administrative data on businesses and households and an indicative roadmap for inclusion in an integrated administrative data system. Pilot project to develop a strategy for integrating administrative data sources for the purposes of creating an SBR for Jordan. Develop methodology for producing SAS on poverty and provide recommendations on how this methodology can be applied to other areas within the DoS.

The direct beneficiary is the Department of Statistics of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (DoS). Indirect beneficiaries will be key institutional data producers and users, Ministries, Departments, Agencies, other local Government authorities, universities and researchers, civil society as a whole. In a wider perspective, the whole country will benefit from the project, as government policies based on reliable statistical data would allow to better guide and evaluate the social and economic development of the country.
