It significantly contributes to strengthening the partnership with international bodies, by collaborating on decisive choices for the development and harmonization of official statistics.
The Institute is involved in several research projects funded by the European Commission, in which it collaborates with statistical institutes, universities and international research centers, promoting methodological development and innovation.
It carries out technical cooperation activities to strengthen the national statistical systems of the least developed and developing countries, the European Neighborhood partner countries and those affected by the EU accession process.
