Interactive graphs - Dashboard
The Bes and Bes at local level indicators can also be accessed through the web-based database query systems (dashboards) provided in this section.
These tools are kept up to date with regular updates of the indicators and allow the creation of customised graphs that the user can view, browse and export directly.
By selecting indicators, years of interest and other available variables, it is possible to obtain interactive cartograms and graphs to represent spatial and temporal distributions, obtain rankings and carry out comparative analyses, including the selection of areas of interest or references for comparisons.
The two visualisation systems are different because the information frameworks of Bes and BES at local level do not overlap perfectly, although they share a core of common indicators.
Navigation is carried out by setting drop-down filters that allow the selection of territory, indicator, year and any other variable, and then updating the view of the graphs. A metadata box is displayed for each indicator selected.
As the mouse is moved over individual elements of the charts and graphs displayed, the system interactively returns the value shown.
