Fifth Workshop on Methodologies for Official Statistics
In-person and online event
The event aims to gather researchers on statistical methodologies applied in the official statistics context, to promote the exchange of ideas and good practices.
This workshop will focus primarily on how official statistics can benefit from new methods and approaches developed in other statistical contexts, ranging from advanced statistical models for data analysis to the possibilities offered by AI/ML. Special attention, as usual, is given to multisource statistics.
The workshop is organized into three sessions:
- Integration of probability and non-probability sources in official statistics;
- Statistical modelling and model-based estimation for official statistics;
- AI/ML for official statistics.
Event session organisation
The scientific program includes:
Master classes: 1 hour long presentation followed by 30 minutes of floor discussion and rejoinder.
Invited talk session: each presenter has 15 minutes, followed by a discussant speech (10 minutes) and a floor discussion with rejoinder (20 minutes).
