The event has the objective to gather researchers on statistical methodologies applied in the official statistics context, in order to promote exchange of ideas and good practices.
This workshop will be mainly focused on understanding the impact on methodologies and quality of new data sources (big data and in general non probability data) for the official statistics production.
The workshop is organized in 4 sessions:
- methodologies and designs for multi-source processes with non-probability data;
- innovative data for official statistics: methodological challenges;
- quality for non-traditional sources;
- machine learning methods in survey statistics (session in collaboration with IASS).
Each session consists of master classes and invited speakers.
Master classes will be given by Prof. Changbao Wu (University of Waterloo, Canada), Prof. Stefano M. Iacus (Harvard University and IQSS, U.S.A.), Mr. Fabio Ricciato (Eurostat), Prof. David Haziza (University of Ottawa, Canada) and Prof. Petrus J.H.
