Buildings permits indicators - Q2 2023

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings and useful floor area dropped by -5.2% when compared with the previous quarter.

Non-residential buildings increased by 8.9% in the second quarter 2023 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 16.1% in the second quarter 2023 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down 13.5%.

Non-residential area increased by 4.1% in the second quarter 2023, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
