The contest “Producing official statistics with Big Data”, promoted by Istat and Google, is now open to everybody.
The initiative, launched on the occasion of the Third Italian day of statistics, aims at rewarding innovative projects related to the use of Big Data sources to observe events of national relevance.
The announcement now presents substantial changes (in Articles 2 and 4), and allows “…adult subjects, single or associated in groups, on a personal basis or as representatives of an organization” to submit their application form by 31 January 2014 and their project proposal by 30 April 2014.

Applications should be sent by e-mail to commissionebigdata@istat.it within 31st January 2014.
Project proposals should be submitted by e-mail to commissionebigdata@istat.it within 30th May 2014.
Winners will be announced by the 15th January 2015.
