Production in the construction sector - March 2024

In March 2024, the month-on-month estimates for construction output experienced a decline of 1.9%.

Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction demonstrated a growth of 1.5% in comparison to the previous quarter.

On a year-on-year basis, the unadjusted index exhibited a decrease of 5.1%, while the calendar-adjusted index (calendar working days being 21 versus 23 days in March 2023) displayed an increase of 3.8%.

Over the initial three months of 2024, construction output witnessed a rise of 7.2% in the unadjusted series and expanded by 7.8% in the calendar-adjusted series.
