Production and costs in construction
In May 2017 the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction compared with the previous month increased by 2.7%. In the quarter Mar-May 2017 the index increased by 0.1% with respect to the previous quarter.
The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector increased by 2.9% compared with the same month of the previous year (calendar working days being 22 as in May 2016). In the period January-May 2017 the index decreased by 0.3% in comparison with the same period of 2016.
In May 2017 the unadjusted index of production in the construction sector increased by 2.9% compared with May 2016. The average index of the first five months of 2017 was 0.6% lower in comparison with the same period of 2016.
