Production in the construction sector - April 2024

In April 2024, the seasonally adjusted construction index increased by 2.3% compared to March.

Over the three-month period ending in April 2024, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction fell by 1.2% when compared to the previous three month period.

Year-on-year, the unadjusted index showed a growth of 21.0%, while the calendar-adjusted index (working days being 20 versus 18 in April 2023) rose by 10.5%.

For the first four months of 2024, construction output increased by 10.5% in the unadjusted series and expanded by 8.7% in the calendar-adjusted series.
