Industrial turnover - April 2023

In April 2023 estimates for seasonally adjusted index of industrial turnover dropped in the month on month by 1.8% (-2.5% in the domestic market and -0.5% in the non-domestic one).

In the three months to April 2023, total industrial turnover levels decreased by 0.4% when compared with the previous three-month period (-0.1% in the domestic market and -1.3% in the non-domestic market).

Year on year, the calendar adjusted industrial turnover index were down 8% comparing to April 2022 (-2.5% in the domestic market and -0.4% in the non-domestic market). Calendar working days in April 2023 were 18, one less than April 2022.

Looking at the volume of turnover for the manufacturing sector, the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 2.4% in April 2023; in the three months to April 2023 it dropped by 1.2% compared with the previous three-month period. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index dropped by 4.9% when compared with the same month a year earlier.
