Production in the construction sector - December 2022

In December 2022, estimates for construction output rose in the month-on-month series, increasing by 0.4%.

In the 4^th quarter of 2022, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction grew by 2.1% when compared with the previous quarter.

Year on year, the calendar adjusted index (calendar working days being 20 versus 22 in December 2021) was up 4.9% and the unadjusted index fell by 2.1%.

Looking at annual growth rates, the whole of 2022 shows a growth of 12.7% in the calendar adjusted series, while the unadjusted index rose by 11.6%.
