In the first quarter 2022 the notary agreements regarding sales of real estate units and any other kind of exchange of properties and appurtenances in return for payment amounted to 236,599 (+1.3% compared with previous quarter and +10.1% on an annual basis).
Compared with the previous quarter, the residential sector remained substantially stable in Centre (-0.1%) and marked a increase in the remaining geographical areas: Islands +3.1%; South +1.8%; North-west +1.7%; North-east +0.6%. The economic sector grew in Centre (+7.6%), North-west (+4.3%) and South (+0.6%) while decreased in Islands (-9.3%) and North-east (-0.8%).
94.5% of the notary agreements concerned transfers of residential properties (223,568), 5.2% affected transfers of properties for business purposes (12,281) and 0.3% estates for special uses and multi-owned properties (750).
Compared with the first quarter 2021, real estate unit exchange agreements encreased by 9.9% in the residential sector and by 14.2% in the economic sector.
On annual basis, housing sector recorded positive results in the whole Country (Islands +17.0%, South +12.8%, Centre +11.3%, North-west +8.4%, North-east +6.2%, small cities +10.0% and lange cities +9.8%). The same thing detected for the economic sector: South +19.4%; North-west +17.8%; Centre +15.8%; North-east +12.3%; small cities +16.5% and large cities +11.0%) with exception of the Islands (-6.9%).
The mortgage-secured loans amounted to 106,673 (+4.9% compared with the previous quarter, and +3.6% on an annual basis). The growth affected entire national territory both compared with previosious quarter (South +7.8%; North-West +4.8%, Centre +4.6%, North-east +4.2% and Islands +3.2%) and on annual basis (Islands +7.6%; Centre +5.5%, South +4.5%, North-west +3.7% and North-east +0.3%; large cities +4.9% and small cities +2.5%).
