Crime groups

Crime groups are transversal categories to the groupings constructed for the classifications used in in Istat or represent an attribute that link several crimes.

Therefore, they aggregate, in a different and very flexible way, with respect to the organization of the classifications of crimes, the elements of the catalog of crimes. For each element of the crimes thesaurus, it indicates whether or not it belongs to a specific group of crimes of interest to criminal scholars. An element can therefore be associated with several groups, freeing itself from a purely legal categorization.
