In April 2022, estimates for construction output decreased by 1.3% in the month-on-month series, this is the first monthly fall seen since July 2021.
In the three month to April 2022, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction increased by 7.0% when compared with the previous quarter.
Year on year, the calendar adjusted index rose by 16.9% (calendar working days being 19 versus 21 days in April 2021), while the unadjusted index grew by 8.1%.
In the first four months of 2022, construction output was up 19.0% in the calendar adjusted series and increased by 17.7% in the unadjusted series.
