Quarterly national accounts - First quarter 2022

In the first quarter of 2022 the seasonally and calendar adjusted, chained volume measure of Gross Domestic Product (Gdp) increased by 0.1 per cent to the previous quarter and by 6.2% in comparison with the first quarter of 2021.

Compared to previous quarter, final consumption expenditure decreased by 0.6 per cent, gross fixed capital formation increased by 3.9 per cent, imports and exports increased by 4.3 per cent and 3.5 per cent respectively.

With respect to the first quarter of 2021, final consumption expenditure increased by 5.2 per cent, gross fixed capital formation by 12.9 per cent, imports by 15.3 per cent, and exports by 13 per cent.

The carry-over annual Gdp growth for 2022 is equal to +2.6%.
