Production in the construction sector - March 2022

In March 2022, estimates for construction output increased by 2.0% in the month-on-month series, recording the highest level since May 2011.

In the first quarter of 2022, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction increased by 7.0% when compared with the previous quarter.

Year on year, the calendar adjusted index rose by 19.4% (23 calendar working days as in March 2021), while the unadjusted index grew by 20.5%.

In the first three months of 2022, construction output was up 19.4% in the calendar adjusted series and increased by 20.9% in the unadjusted series.
