Production in the construction sector - January 2022

In January 2022, estimates for construction output fell by 0.9% in the month-on-month series, after growing for five months in a row.

In the three months to January 2022, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction increased by 4.0% when compared with the previous three months.

Year on year, the unadjusted index for construction output increased by 17.2%, while the calendar adjusted index (20 calendar working days versus 19 in January 2021) rose by 13.2%.
