Production in the construction sector - June-July 2021

In July 2021, estimates for construction output decreased by 1.9% in the month-on-month series.

In the three months to July 2021, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction was down 0.5% when compared with the previous three months, this is the first three-monthly fall since January 2021.

Year on year, the unadjusted index for construction output grew by 5.4%, while the calendar adjusted index (22 calendar working days versus 23 days in July 2020) rose by 9.1%.

In the first seven months of 2021, construction output increased by 33.1% in the unadjusted series and rose by 33.4% in the calendar adjusted series.
