In this Statistic, both the fourth quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 are disseminated, greatly improving the timeliness of the information provided.

In residential buildings the number of dwellings increased in the first quarter 2021 when compared with the previous quarter (+6.3%); useful floor area increased (+11.1%) too.

Non-residential buildings increased by 20.1% in the first quarter 2021 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings increased by 16.5% in the first quarter 2021 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 16.8%.

Non-residential area increased year-on-year, growing by 26.1% in the first quarter 2021, reversing the previous trend.
