Foreign trade and Industrial import prices

In November 2019 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to October 2019, decreased for outgoing flows (-4.2%) and reimained stationary for incoming flows (0.0%). Exports fell for both non EU countries (-8.1%) and EU countries (-0.9%). Imports dropped by -0.8% for non EU countries and increased by +0.6% for EU countries.

Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous three months, raised for exports (+1.4%) and decreased for imports (-0.6%).

In November 2019, compared with the same month of the previous year, both exports and imports decreased (-3.2% and -5.9% respectively). Outgoing flows fell by -3.7% for non EU countries and by -2.7% for EU countries. Incoming flows dropped by -10.6% for non EU area and by -2.7% for EU area. The trade balance in November 2019 amounted to +4,872 million Euros (+4,169 million Euros for non EU area and +702 million Euros for EU countries).

In November 2019, the total import prices index increased by 0.6% compared to the previous month (decreased by 0.1% for the euro zone, increased by 1.2% for the non-euro zone); the total twelve-month rate of change decreased by 2.1% (decreased by 0.8% for the euro zone and by 3.4% for the non-euro zone).

The quarterly total index of import prices decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous period (-0.1% for the euro zone and -0.2% for the non-euro zone).
