Export of Italian regions
In the second quarter of 2019, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period, for the Centre (+5.0%) and for the South and Islands (+4.0%) while decreased for the North-East and the North-West (-0.6% and -0.4% respectively).
In the first six months of 2019, compared with the previous year, exports rose in the Centre (+17.4%), in the South (+2.5%) and in the North-East (+1.5%) while dropped in the Islands (-11.9%) and in the North-West (-1.1%).
In the same period, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export increase, were recorded in Lazio (+26.9%), Molise (+24.6%), Toscana (+17.9%), Campania (+10.4%) and Puglia (+10.1%) while relevant decreases were recorded in Calabria (-22.0%), Basilicata (-19.5%) and in Sicilia (-17.3%).
