As for the previous editions, Istat and the Italian Statistical Society (SIS – Società Italiana di Statistica) sponsor the ISLP Poster Competition 2018-2019 within the framework of the International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP).
The initiative is addressed to school and university students from around the world, with the aim to improve their awareness in official statistics as a tool for learning about their lives on a daily basis.
Participants have to make a statistical poster; the theme of poster is free.

Registration for the competition closed on 14 December 2018.
Deadline for sending posters is 18th January 2019. Posters in English must be submitted online to islp2018@istat.it, paper posters in Italian have to be sent to “Istituto nazionale di statistica, Direzione centrale per lo sviluppo dell’informazione e della cultura statistica” – via C. Balbo 16, 00184 Rome”, to the attention of the ISLP country coordinators.
Winning posters of the national competition will be displayed at the 62nd World Statistics Congress of the International Statistics Institute, Kuala Lumpur (Malesia), August 2019.
