Production in the construction sector

The production in construction index provides monthly statistics on output in the sector, referring not only to all new work, but also to repair and maintenance data. The production in construction index is calculated on the base 2015=100.

Construction output contracted for the second consecutive period in the three-month on three-month time series, decreasing by 2.5% in April 2018.

In April 2018, despite continuing to fall in the three-month on three-month time series, construction output grew month-on-month, increasing by 2.5%

Compared with April 2017, construction output was up 3.3% after adjustment for calendar effect differences.

During the first four months of this year, production in construction index rose by 0.6% comparing to the same period in 2017.
