The Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) is pleased to host the “Workshop on Labour Market Areas: current development and future use“, which will be held at ISTAT “Aula Magna”, via Cesare Balbo 14, Rome, on 16 June 2017.
Within the framework of fostering the use of Labour Market Areas in the European Statistical System, Eurostat has awarded grants to Istat (EU-TTWA method: improvements, documentation and sharing knowledge activities) and other National Statistical Insitutes at the end of 2015. These grants consisted of the promotion of studies, the development of tools and the creation of geographies in the interested Member States.
During the workshop conceptual, methodological and organizational issues related to the
production process of Labour Market Areas and their use in Official Statistics will be discussed.
The grants aim at further promoting the harmonisation process for the creation of Labour Market Areas at European level.
