Contractual wages and salaries

The index of wages according to collective labour agreements measures the evolution of contractual wages  (per employee or per hour) set by collective agreements; the indices are calculated with reference to the fixed employment structure of the base period (December 2010).

At the end of October 2014 the coverage rate for the whole economy (share of national collective agreements in force) was 43.6 per cent in terms of employees and 40.6 per cent in terms of the total amount of wages.

In October 2014 both indices increased by 0.1 per cent from last month.

Compared with October 2013 the hourly index increased by 1.0 per cent while the per employee index  rose by 1.1 per cent. Comparing January-October 2014 with the same period a year earlier, the hourly index increased by 1.2 per cent while the per employee index rose by 1.3 per cent.
