Labour indicators in enterprises

Starting from third quarter of 2013 the labour demand and labour cost short term indicators (hours worked, job vacancy; wages and labour cost) are published in a single press release. Moreover the indicators for some sections of economic activities are published for the first time: Education (P), Health and social work (Q), artistic activities, sports, entertainment and recreation (R), other services (S).
In the third quarter of 2013 seasonally adjusted per capita hours worked for the business economy decreased by 0.1% with respect to the previous quarter (+0.8% in industry and -0.8% in business services).
Working day adjusted per capita hours worked for the business economy decreased by 0.3% with respect to the same quarter of 2012 (+1.0% in industry and -1.4% in business services).
In the third quarter of 2013 the job vacancy rate for both the total of industry and services and the business economy was 0.4%, unchanged with respect to the same quarter of 2012.
In the third quarter 2013 the seasonally adjusted index of labour cost per full time equivalent (fte) increased by 0.6% in business economy compared to the previous quarter (+0.5% in industry and +0.8% in services of the business economy). The unadjusted index rose by 2.4% in business economy compared to the third quarter 2012 (+2.9% in industry and +1.9% in services of the business economy), and 2.2% in total industry and services.
