Employment and unemployment (quarterly)

Istat estimates that 22,4 million persons were employed in the 3^rd quarter 2013, down 2,3% (-522  thousands) from 3^rd quarter 2012. The employment rate decreased to 55.6%. Unemployment rise to 2.8 million (+363 thousands persons), while the unemployment rate increased to 11.3%. The inactivity rate slightly increased to 37.2%.
