In consideration of the Government measures aimed at minimising the spread of COVID-19 , yesterday the data collection carried out by Municipal Statistics Offices was suspended for two surveys: Consumer prices and Purchasing Power Parities. On the other hand, the centralised data collection conducted by both ISTAT and Municipal Statistics Offices will continue on a regular basis.
ISTAT is constantly monitoring the statistical data collection, facing the disturbances generated by the extraordinary situation of the Country through interventions on data collection, acquisition techniques and methodological solutions, in order to guarantee the continuity and quality of the information produced and disseminated.
Thus, statistical production will take place on a regular basis. Any subsequent decisions will be communicated with maximum transparency and in a timely manner.
