Export of Italian regions

Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- June 2017.

In the second quarter of 2017, compared with the previous period, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased for North-West (+2.6%) and Centre (+1.8%) while decreased for South and Islands (-1.9%) and North-East (-0.4%).

In the first six months of 2017, compared with the previous year, exports increased for Islands (+36.2%), North-West (9.1%), Centre (+8.8%), North-East (+5.6%) and South (+0.5%).

In the same period more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export increment, are recorded for Lombardia (+7.4%), Piemonte (+11.3%), Emilia-Romagna (+6.4%), Veneto (+6.1%), Lazio (+15.5%) and Toscana (+8.8%), while relevant decreases were recorded for Basilicata (-10.1%) and Molise (-39.8%).
