Third Workshop on Methodologies for Official Statistics. Proceedings

This ebook collects the Proceedings of the 3rdWorkshop on Methodologies for Official Statistics, hosted by Istat in Roma, Italy, on the 4^th and 5^th December 2024. This event aims to become an annual appointment for sharing experiences and results in statistical methodologies applied to official statistics.

This ebook, as the Workshop, is divided into four Sessions representing priority areas of research pursued by Istat: methods for the production of multisource statistics; non-probabilistic data sources; data, data science, and official statistics; and new data sources for small-area estimation. The ebook also outlines the four Master classes, organised to explore the topics in greater depth.

The Workshop Proceedings, opened by the President of Istat, Professor Francesco Maria Chelli, present the contributions from the four Sessions, with an introduction by the chairs of each Session. All event materials and recordings of the Workshop are available on dedicated page.
