The 1522 toll-free number: who calls, why, and what it tells us. Year 2025

In 2025, 25,970 victims contacted 1522, up on 2024. Invalid calls declined. The multifaceted nature of violence is confirmed, along with its predominantly domestic and family-based pattern: the victim’s home remains the setting where violence most often occurs, and the spouse or former partner remain the figures most frequently identified as perpetrators.
