The Workshop (in English language) aims at presenting the integrated system of metadata, called IST (metadata driven codeless development environment), developed by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, that allows for the management of all the phases of the statistical process with a single application.
Representatives from Eurostat and from some National Institutes of Statistics of different countries will address the management of metadata at European and national level, sharing experiences of the use of IST in some countries of the Balkan area.
The final round table will serve as a forum to discuss, with Eurostat and other statistical Institutes, the importance of the cooperation and the use of international standards in metadata management.
