Italian Statistical Yearbook 2025 - Executive Summary

The Italian Statistical Yearbook remains an important tool for analysing Italy across its key dimensions, and in 2025, it reached its 147^th edition.

The current edition marks the beginning of a revamp of this publication, which has so far resulted in a revised, more agile ebook than in prior years. Its twenty-four Chapters have been simplified by removing the accompanying tables; the extensive collection of data and metadata that has always characterised this publication is now available and accessible in the dedicated area of the Istat’s website, in a digital and editable format (in Italian only).

The Italian Statistical Yearbook continues to provide comprehensive analyses of data that best illustrate the population, society, environment, economy, institutions, services, behaviour, culture, and research, with a focus on emerging aspects and innovations in Istat’s data production activities.
