Turnover of industry and services – March 2025

In March 2025, estimates for the seasonally adjusted turnover industrial index decreased by 1.6% in value (-1.0% in volume) when compared to the previous month (-1.3% in value and -0.4% in volume in the domestic market and -2.1% in value and -1.9% in volume in the non-domestic one). For services, the seasonally adjusted turnover index increased in the month on month series by 0.7% for both value and volume terms.

In the first quarter of 2025, the seasonally adjusted industry turnover index increased both in value and volume (+1.5% and +1.2% respectively) when compared to the previous three-month period. In the same period, the services turnover index was up 0.3% in value while remaining unchanged in volume.

On a year-on-year basis, in March 2025, the calendar adjusted industry turnover index contracted by 1.1% both in value and volume (-1.1% in the domestic market and -1.4% in the non-domestic one in value and   -1.3% in the domestic market and -0.6% in the non-domestic one in volume). Calendar working days were 21 as in March 2024. In services, turnover increased by 1.3% in value and by 0.1% in volume when compared with the same month a year earlier.
