Turnover in services

The Services turnover index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services. Starting from the first quarter of 2018 the indices are calculated with reference to the base year 2015 according to the ATECO 2007 Classification of Economic Activities (Italian edition of NACE Rev. 2).

In the second quarter of 2018 the Services turnover index increased by 2.7% compared to the second quarter of 2017. In particular, the index increased by 3.7% for Wholesale trade, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, by 3.0% for Administrative and support service activities, by 2.4% for Accommodation and food service activities, by 1.9% for Transportation and storage and by 0.3% for Information and communication. The index decreased by 0.5% for Professional, scientific and technical activities.
