Services producer prices - Q4 2024
In the fourth quarter 2024, services producer prices on business market increased by 1.3%, compared with the previous quarter, and by 4.8%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (up from +4.4% in the third quarter 2024).
Producer prices of Professional, scientific and technical activities (+2.4%) recorded the highest increase on quarterly basis. On annual basis, they increased by 3.5% (up from +3.2% in the third quarter 2024).
In the fourth quarter 2024, producer prices of Information and communication increased by 2.1%, compared with the previous quarter. Telecommunications registered the highest increase on quarterly basis (+5.4%). Over a year, producer prices of Information and communication accelerated (+5.5%, after +4.9% in the previous quarter).
Producer prices of Transportation and storage increased by 0.6% on quarterly basis. The rise was widespread in all sectors, excluding Water transport, which decreased by 0.5%. Air transport recorded the highest increase on quarterly basis (+5.1%). On annual basis, producer prices of Transportation and storage rose by 5.4% (from +5.0% in the third quarter 2024).
Producer prices of Administrative and support service activities increased slightly on quarterly basis (+0.2%) and rose by 5.1% on annual basis (as in the third quarter).
In 2024, services producer prices on business market increased by 3.6%, compared with 2023 (+3.2%). The highest increases were recorded for Water transport (+10.6%), Other professional, scientific and technical activities (+7.5%), Warehousing and support activities for transportation (+6.7%) and Telecommunications (+6.4%). Producer prices of Air transport fell on annual average by 2.2%.
In the fourth quarter 2024, services producer prices on total market (business and consumer) increased by 0.5%, compared with the previous quarter, and by 4.5% on annual basis (from +4.4% in the third quarter 2024). In 2024, they rose by 3.7% (up from +3.4% in 2023).
