Production in the construction sector - March 2023

In March 2023, estimates for construction output rose in the month-on-month series, increasing by 0.1%.

In the first quarter of 2023, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction grew by 1.1% when compared with the previous quarter.

Year on year, the calendar adjusted index (calendar working days being 23 as in March 2022) was down 3.4% and the unadjusted index fell by 3.5%.

In the first three months of 2023, construction output declined by 0.4% in the calendar adjusted series and increased by 0.4% in the unadjusted series.
