Production in construction
The index measures the monthly evolution of the volume of production in the construction sector. With effect from January 2013 the indices will be calculated with reference to the base year 2010=100. Indices referred to the three years 2010-2012 have been revised.
In January 2013 the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 1.4% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter November-January, with respect to the previous quarter, decreased by 6.3%.
The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 12.0 compared with January 2012 (calendar working days were 22 versus 21 in January 2012).
The unadjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 9.0% compared with January 2012.
