Production in construction
In August 2013 the seasonally adjusted index increased by 3.4% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter June-August, with respect to the previous quarter, increased by 3.4%.
The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector in August 2013 decreased by 10.6% compared with August 2012 (calendar working days were 21 versus 22 in August 2012); in the average in the period January-August 2013 the index decreased by 11.5% compared with the same period of 2012.
The unadjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 13.6% compared with August 2012. Comparing the average of the first eight months of 2013 with the same period of 2012 the index decreased by 12.0%.
