Production and costs in construction

In December 2016 the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction compared with the previous month increased by 1.0%. In the quarter Oct-Dec 2016 the index decreased by 0.7% with respect to the previous quarter.

The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 0.2% compared with the same month of the previous year (calendar working days being 20 versus 21 in December 2015). In the period January-December 2016 the percentage change of the index was -0.3% in comparison with the same period of 2015.

In December 2016 the unadjusted index of production in the construction sector decreased by 3.5% compared with December 2015. In the period January-December 2016 the average index was 0.9% lower in comparison with the same period of 2015.
