Production in construction

Construction output decreased by 3.1% in the month-on-month series in April 2019, representing the second consecutive decline.

Construction output grew by 3.1% in the three-month on three-month series.

Looking at the longer view, the year-on-year calendar adjusted series increased by 2.7% (20 calendar working days in April 2019 versus 19 in April 2018).

When compared with April 2018, the unadjusted index of production in construction rose by 4.2%.
