Industrial producer prices
The industrial producer price index measures the evolution of output prices for goods manufactured in Italy and sold on the domestic and non-domestic markets. Since January 2009 indices are calculated with reference to the base year 2005 using the new Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of NACE Rev. 2).
In December 2010 the total producer price index increased by 0.6% with respect to the previous month; the index of producer prices rose by 0.6% both on domestic market and on non domestic market.
The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the previous three months was +0.5 (also in domestic market and in non-domestic market).
The index rose by 4.5% compared with December 2009 (+4.6% on domestic market and +4.5% on non-domestic market).
