Istat expresses condolences on the passing of professor Antonio Golini

Istat expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Professor Antonio Golini, who served as Acting President of the Institute from 2013 to 2014.

A renowned demographer of national and international standing, Professor Golini dedicated his career to the study of population dynamics, demographic transitions, and social transformation. His academic and institutional contributions played a vital role in advancing demographic research, with particular focus on the policy implications of population trends.

During his tenure at the helm of Istat, he ensured scientific rigor and institutional continuity in a period of transition, reinforcing the Institute’s authority and credibility both in Italy and abroad.
