Industrial turnover - May 2023

In May 2023 estimates for seasonally adjusted index of industrial turnover increased in the month on month by 1.5% (+2.0% in the domestic market and +0.6% in the non-domestic one).

In the three months to May 2023 total industrial turnover levels decreased by 0.9% when compared with the previous three-month period (-1.0% in the domestic market and -0.8% in the non-domestic market).

Year on year, the calendar adjusted industrial turnover index decreased by 0.5% comparing to May 2022 (-0.6% in the domestic market and in the non-domestic one). Calendar working days in May 2023 were 22 as in May 2022.

Looking at the volume of turnover for the manufacturing sector, the seasonally adjusted index increased by 2.4% in May 2023; in the three months to May 2023 it dropped by 0.7% compared with the previous three-month period. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index decreased by 0.7% when compared with the same month a year earlier.
