Industrial turnover - May 2022

In May 2022 estimates for seasonally adjusted index of industrial turnover increased on a monthly basis by 1.4% (+1.5% in the domestic market and +1.1% in the non-domestic one).

In the three months to May 2022 total industrial turnover levels increased by 7.8% when compared with the previous three-month period (+8.0% in the domestic market and +7.3% in the non-domestic market).

Year on year, the calendar adjusted industrial turnover index grew by 6% comparing with May 2021 (+24.2% in the domestic market and +22.4% in the non-domestic market). Calendar working days in May 2022 were 22, one more than May 2021.

Looking at the volume of turnover for the manufacturing sector, the seasonally adjusted index decreased in May 2022 by 0.3% when compared with the previous month and increased by 2.4% when compared with the previous three-month period. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index increased by 5.9% when compared with May 2021.
