Industrial turnover and orders
In January 2020 the seasonally adjusted turnover index increased by 5.3% compared to the previous month (+4.7% the domestic market and +6.5% in non-domestic market); the average of the last three months increased by 0.4% compared to the previous three months (+0.3% in domestic market and +0.3% in non-domestic market).
The seasonally adjusted industrial new orders index increased by 1.2% compared to December 2019 (-3.7% in domestic market and +9.1% in non-domestic market); the average of the last three months increased by 1.9% compared to the previous three months (+3.6% in domestic market and -0.8% in non-domestic market).
With respect to the same month of the previous year the calendar adjusted industrial turnover index increased by 3.8% (+3.3% in domestic market and +4.5% in non-domestic market). Calendar working days in January 2020 were 21, one less than January 2019.
The unadjusted industrial new orders index decreased by 1.8% with respect to the same month of the previous year (-0.6% in domestic market and -3.4% in non-domestic market).
The seasonally adjusted volume turnover index (only for the manufacturing sector) increased by 5.0% compared to the previous month; the average of the last three months increased by 0.3% compared to the previous three months. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index increased by 3.1% with respect to the same month of the previous year.
