Gross wages and labour cost

Since the first quarter 2013 the gross wages and labour cost indicators are calculated with reference to the base year 2010 using the Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).

In the first quarter 2013 the seasonally adjusted index of gross wages per full time equivalent (fte) increased by 0.4% compared to the previous quarter (+0.2% in industry and +0.4% in services). The unadjusted index rose by 1.7% compared to the first quarter 2012 (+1.7% in industry and +1.6% in services).
