Extra-Eu foreign trade
In November 2010, exports to non-EU countries increased by 22.0% and imports by 39.1% compared with the same month of the previous year. The trade balance showed a deficit of 1,899 million euro compared with a 77 million euro deficit in the same month of 2009.
In November 2010, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased by 0.5% and imports increased by 2.2% compared with October 2010. Over the last three months, seasonallyadjusted data showed a 0.1% decrease in outgoing flows and a 3.5% increase in incoming flows in comparison with the previous three months.
In the period January-November 2010 exports to non-EU countries increased by 16.5% and imports by 28.2% compared with the same period of 2009. The trade balance registered a deficit of 18,853 million euro compared to the deficit of 4,459 million euro in the same period of 2009. Excluding energy, the trade balance presented a surplus of 26,626 million euro (Table 3) compared with a 33,179 million euro surplus in January-November 2009.
